12th-place finish in World 100 prelim at Eldora Speedway
Gregg Satterlee made the haul to the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday for a pair of prelims on Thursday and Friday leading up to Saturday’s main event.
With the 102-car field divided into two groups, Satterlee edged his way into his preliminary feature with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Moving forward five spots in the 25-lap opener, Gregg rolled to a 12th-place finish.
On Friday, Gregg backed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a runner-up run in his consolation race. Chasing another $12,000 payday in his prelim, Satterlee jumped up two positions to finish 20th.
Lined up on the fourth row of his heat race on Saturday based on Eldora’s Every Lap Matters format, Satterlee’s sixth-place finish in his heat relegated him into a B-Main for another shot at the $56,000-to-win World 100 finale. Needing to place fourth or better, Gregg fell short with a 10th-place outing.
