Podium finish in the Rumble by the River at Port Royal Speedway
Defending his home turf as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) rolled into town, Gregg Satterlee visited Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Rumble by the River. (Heath Lawson photos)
With the stout field of 51 cars divided into two groups for prelims, Satterlee secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature with a third-place finish in his heat. Moving forward four positions in the 25-lapper, Gregg recorded a third-place finish.
Rolling off on the front row of his heat race on Saturday, Gregg came in second behind Tim McCreadie, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $50,000-to-win Rumble by the River. Wheeling his way onto the podium, Satterlee passed nine cars in the 50-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He followed Earl Pearson Jr. and Ricky Thornton Jr. across the line.
