“We had a far from ideal Speedweeks, and it just seemed like we were on the struggle bus for a week down there. However, we came home and went to work on this No. 22, and the results showed this weekend with a pair of wins,” Satterlee shared. “A big shoutout goes to my crew and my sponsors for making this all possible.”

After Mother Nature postponed Friday night’s opener at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) to March 26th, Gregg Satterlee kicked off his weekend on Saturday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) with the opening round of the Zimmer’s United Late Model Southern Series doubleheader.

In a field of 47 Late Models, Satterlee timed in fastest in his qualifying group before picking up an eight-lap heat race victory. Earning the second-starting position for the A-Main, Gregg nosed ahead of polesitter and race-long pacesetter Michael Norris on lap 13 and dominated the remaining distance of the 25-lapper en route to his first win of the season and seventh career ULMS triumph. Taking the checkers ahead of Norris, Max Blair, Rick Eckert, and Tyler Bare, Satterlee pocketed $3,000.

The following night, Gregg finished second in his heat race behind Donald Lingo Jr., which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the A-Main. Charging from third-to-first on a lap-five restart, Satterlee sailed to his second win in as many nights with Jeff Rine, Michael Norris, Dylan Yoder, and Donald Lingo Jr. following him across the finish line.

Winning by nearly a four-second margin, Gregg elevated his weekend earnings to $7,000, including Sunday’s $4,000 payday.
