>>>SUMMER HEATING UP FOR SATTERLEE AND CREW

(August 10) Rochester Mills, PA - After what he would consider a disappointing month of June, Gregg Satterlee has rebounded just as racing season has propelled into full swing.  The Rochester Mills, PA driver claimed his first career O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series (ASLMS) win at Mercer Raceway Park on July 10, claiming $4,000 while leading all 40 laps.  In addition to that, Gregg piloted the #22 Satterlee Petroleum Distributors; East American Motorsport mount to several Top Five finishes at Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway and was first to the checkers on August 6.  It was clear that Gregg and crew had the Rocket Chassis and Integra Shocks dialed in perfectly, as he railed around the top side of the track, lap after lap, distancing himself from the field.  Gregg commented that “Daugherty Motorsports has done an excellent job for us with this shock package and it has shown in recent weeks.”

Gregg competed with the World of Outlaw Late Model Series (WoO) five times in July and August.  Thanks to ZeroWraps.com, the car was looking great, as they picked up a pair of top ten finishes.  While the team was happy to qualify for each of the five shows, Satterlee noted that things could have gone a bit better.  While running fourth with one lap to go at Eriez Speedway, he noted “I bobbled a bit after taking the white flag and got up into the wall a bit.  We dropped from fourth to twelfth on that last lap.  It would have been another top five but that’s part of racing. You’ve got to take the ups with the downs.”  Satterlee wheeled the ASi Racewear; Laz-Fab machine to a respectable fourth place finish at Sharon Speedway, a solid ninth at Muskingum, and finished outside the top ten at Clearfield, Attica, and Eriez.  Gregg added “We learn some new things every time we race and despite a few poor finishes with the Outlaws, we gathered some valuable information that is going to help us as the season progresses.”

As the summer rolls along, so will the team’s hauler, as they head north to Canada this week for a pair of ASLMS events at Autodrome Granby and Brockville Speedway.  Gregg will compete on back-to-back nights for $5,000 at both tracks.  The Wednesday, Thursday shows will be followed by a visit to Lernerville Speedway’s UFo Race Championship Series (UFo) event on August 13, which pays $3,000 to the victor.  Then it’s eastward to Grandview Speedway for a mid-week WoO show and a shot at $8,000 to win.  Gregg and crew will then be trekking back north with the Outlaws to the Empire State for a $10,000 to win event at Rolling Wheels Speedway and a two day, $20,000 to win show at Mohawk International Speedway.  The team will round out the month of August with a stop at Lernerville Speedway and then a UFo event at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania’s Motor Speedway for $3,000 to win.

Gregg would like to thank his fans for their support as well as his 2010 sponsors, which include: Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsport, Daugherty Motorsports, ZeroWraps.com, Laz-Fab, Lias Tire/American Racer, Joe Gibbs Racing Oil, Port City Racecars, Integra Shocks and Springs, Rocket Chassis, VP Race Fuels, and Fleming Design Solutions.

>>>SATTERLEE VICTORIOUS AT LERNERVILLE SPEEDWAY

August 6, 2010 (From Track Report)

After being stuck in the back of the heat race freight train, “The Truth” Gregg Satterlee flanked Kenny Schaltenbrand on the front row as another stacked field of DIRTcar Late Models took the green flag.  Schaltenbrand led the field to turn one, but Satterlee rocketed around the top of turns one & two and to the lead down the back straightaway.  As his competitors jockeyed for position behind him, Satterlee cruised to a dominant victory, his third of the 2010 season in limited competition.

As was the case in the Ti22 Sprints behind Andy McKisson, the racing behind Satterlee was fast & furious!  Lynn Geisler, (whom missed last week’s Fab Four Racing program after engine issues while loading their car at the shop), had his best race of the year as his longtime sponsor Groff Tractor & Equipment was on hand.  Geisler finished second ahead of Dave Murdick in the Pitkavish Late Model.  The best racing in the track during the 25-lap DIRTcar Late Model feature was for fourth place as Defending Track Champion Alex Ferree battled Kenny Schaltenbrand and Jared Miley.  Schaltenbrand beat them to the checkered flag, followed by Miley in fifth and Ferree in sixth.  Doug Eck, Chuck Sarver, John Garvin Jr. and Garrett Krummert rounded out the top ten.  Eck and Krummert won National Guard Heat Races.

Budweiser Points Leader Dave Hess Jr. suffered his third DNF in four races after being collected in an early spin by Mike Johnson in turns three & four.  Despite his recent misfortune, Hess still enjoys a comfortable lead of more than a full night’s worth of points.

>>>Satterlee Soars to First Career O’Reilly ASLMS Win at Mercer

Mercer, PA – July 10, 2010 - Jason Shank – All Star Championship Racing Inc.

Gregg Satterlee is a rising star in the world of Dirt Late Model racing and he continued to make a name for himself with a very convincing $4,000 win over Boom Briggs and Rob Blair at Mercer Raceway Park’s, O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series sanctioned ‘Steel Valley 40’.  Gregg held off early challenges from pole sitter Briggs and pulled away from the field to earn his first career All Star victory.

Briggs and Satterlee paced the field at the start with Satterlee jumping out to the early lead.  Boom stayed right with the leader as Matt Lux, Jared Miley, Jason Dupont, and Gregg Oakes all battled for the fourth behind Rob Blair in third.  The battle for fourth continued until a few lap 9 cautions slowed the pace.  The first was for the spun car of Sarver, PA’s John Garvin Jr.  The second was when Jared Miley slowed in turn two with a flat tire.  And the third was for the spun car of Greg Oakes, Jason Morell and Rusty Cade.  When racing resumed it was Briggs putting pressure on Satterlee for the lead but another caution on lap 11 for Dan Swartzlander’s flat tire again slowed the pace.

On the restart Briggs again to pressure the race leader Satterlee, as Gregg pounded the outside of the ultra-fast 3/8th mile Mercer Raceway Park.  Boom finessed the bottom while working his way under Satterlee for the lead.  While Briggs battled with Satterlee, the red hot Robbie Blair began reeling in the race leaders.   Blair was now right on the rear deck-lid of Briggs as Satterlee started to put a little distance between him and Boom.  Briggs now had Blair to contend with as he searched for a faster line.

Briggs and Blair battled side-by-side for a handful of laps before the fourth and fifth place cars of Dupont and Lux joined the duo of Briggs and Blair in the battle for second.  Satterlee continued to stretch his lead as the race went on while Blair tried everything he could to get around the #99B of Briggs with Dupont and Lux in tow.

The race stayed green the rest of the way as Satterlee went on to collect his first career O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series win followed by Briggs who held off everything Blair could throw at him.  Blair was third followed by Dupont in fourth and Lux in fifth.  Finishing sixth was the events Frankland Racing Supply Hard Charger John Garvin Jr., giving him his career best ASLMS finish while Jared Miley was seventh, Greg Oakes eighth, Victory Signs Time Trials presented by Fleming Design Solutions fast timer Garrett Krummert was ninth while Brent Rhebergen rounded out the top-ten.

>>>SATTERLEE HITS THE ROAD DURING JULY AND AUGUST
(August 31, 2009) ROCHESTER MILLS, PA – When the 2009 racing season began, Gregg Satterlee decided that it was time to do some traveling. In July and August, Gregg took the #22 Rocket Chassis on the road, visiting a variety of familiar Pennsylvania tracks, while also dicing it up in Ohio with the World of Outlaws at Attica Raceway Park and Sharon Speedway in July, and Muskingum and KC Raceway in August. In the two month span, Gregg competed in a total of 16 events and muscled the Satterlee Petroleum Distribution, East American Motorsport ride to four victories, an impressive eleven Top Five's and thirteen Top-10's.

July started off well for Gregg, as he competed at Central PA Speedway (CPS) in Clearfield PA. This was a $10,000 to win, sanctioned event with the All-Star Late Model Series. Gregg picked up an impressive third place finish in this event. DJ Myers in his PPM Chassis took home the big check, while 'The Titusville Terror' Robbie Blair came in second. Satterlee was third, followed across the line by ASLMS points leader Boom Briggs in fourth and Devin Friese in the fifth spot.

Gregg celebrated Independence Day with a trip to victory lane at Marion Center Speedway, followed on the next night with a fourth place finish at Bedford Speedway. The following week Gregg took home the $2,000 paycheck with the United Late Model Series (ULMS) on July 16 at McKean County Raceway (MCR). This was Gregg's second win with the series, the first of which came back in April, also at MCR. On July 18, Gregg finished a strong fourth place in the United Force Championship Series (UFo) 'Red Miley 53' at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS).

On July 23, the team headed for Muskingum Speedway in Ohio to compete with the World of Outlaws (WoO), however Mother Nature did not cooperate. Instead, this event was re-scheduled for August 20 (more on that later!). The next night of action was also a WoO sanctioned event at Attica Raceway Park (ARP), which would pay $10,000 to the winner. During time trials, Gregg nailed down a solid 5th place run, which set him up well for his heat race, which he went on to win, and consequently put him in the redraw for one of the top 8 starting positions. Luck was on Gregg's side, as he drew the #1 pill, and would start first in the feature, alongside veteran Steve Shaver. Shaver would go on to win the event, while Gregg finished in the 8th spot. While slightly disappointed in the 8th place finish, Gregg stated that "this was my first ever visit out here to Attica, so I guess 8th place running with the best of the best, at a new track, isn't so bad after all".

The following night it was off to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio for another WoO, $10,000 to win event. Satterlee had the Lias Tire, ZeroWraps, Daugherty Motorsports machine tuned in and raced to a third place finish during time trials. In heat race action, Gregg would settle for a solid second place behind then WoO points leader, Josh Richards. This once again put Gregg into the re-draw for the feature, and just as the night before, he once again pulling the #1 pill. Gregg would lead the field to the green flag along with series regular, Tim Fuller. Fuller went on to win the race, leading every lap, claiming his first WoO victory in over a year. This was Tim's first victory in a series of four, which matches a WoO record. Satterlee however, went on to finish in the thirteenth slot.

Up next were events at Eriez Speedway, a $10,000 to win WoO show, and Winchester Speedway for a $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Series show. Both of these events fell victim to Mother Nature.

August began with a trip to Markleysburg, PA for the UFo event at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. 'Jammin' John Mollick picked up his first ever win with the series, followed by Gary Dalton, Andy Anderson, Satterlee, and Steve Everhart. On August 6, the team towed to McKean County Raceway for a ULMS event. Gregg started on the pole alongside Chad Valone and the pair battled lap after lap for the race lead. After some hardnosed racing, the pair tangled as they were headed for the white flag. Gregg was sent to the rear for over-aggressive driving, while the caution flag flew for a spinning Valone, who would also go to the tail of the field. Mike Knight inherited the lead and would go on to win the race. Gregg and the #22 Laz Fab, Rocket Chassis car would finish a disappointing 22nd after the dust had settled.

The UFo Series next stop was at Lernerville Speedway for the 'Lunarville 33', where Gregg has been quite successful in 2009. This event was won by two-time Lernerville track champion Alex Ferree, followed by ASLMS points leader Boom Briggs, WoO regular Chub Frank, three-time MACS champion Robbie Blair, while Satterlee came across the line in the 5th position.

Next on the schedule was the WoO Series $10,000 to win show at Bedford Speedway. Gregg was fired up for this event and claimed a fifth place finish in time trials and another second place finish in his heat race behind Delaware's Ricky Elliott. By now Gregg was growing quite familiar with this redraw stuff and once again pulled a great pill, the #2 outside pole position, alongside Tim 'The Empire Executioner' Fuller who was coming off his second (of four) WoO victories, at Grandview Speedway. Fuller would win this race as well, making it three in a row. Following him across the line were 2007 WoO Champion Steve Francis, 2008 WoO Champion Darrell Lanigan, WoO points leader Josh Richards, and Gregg in the fifth spot. Gregg was happy to finish fifth considering who he was competing against. He wasn't afraid to admit that he is itching to get that first WoO victory though.

On August 15, Gregg unloaded at the nearby Marion Center Speedway, where he has recently had several strong finishes. Picking up where he had left off, Gregg won the 25-lap event in convincing fashion. In the week to follow, the team would find themselves at Muskingum Speedway for the postponed WoO event from earlier in July. Gregg timed in 8th, finished third in his heat race, and brought the #22 ride across the line in fourteenth spot. Chub Frank was the race winner, in a 2005 car which was borrowed off of Chad Valone. Fuller's bid to make it five in a row was not to be, as he wound up third, after picking up four wins on the tour at Sharon, Grandview, Bedford and Hagerstown.

A two-day, WoO, $20,000 to win event at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH was next on the list and once again, Gregg had a solid run during the time trial session, claiming another top 10 spot. He would go on to finish first in his heat, and would pull the #4 pill in the redraw. While running strong during the start of the race, Gregg would slowly fade and finish in the 8th spot. 'Chubzilla' made it two in a row, followed by 'Kid Rocket', Bart Hartman, and Tim 'T-Mac' McCreadie in fourth. Shane Clanton would come home fifth while, Eddie Carrier Jr., Rod Conley, Satterlee, Rick Eckert, and Clint Smith would round out the Top 10.

As August was drawing to an end, Satterlee chose to visit the familiar Lernerville Speedway, where he had already picked up four wins in 2009. Gregg's success at the 4/10 mile facility would continue, as he picked up a heat race win, and another feature win. The next night, it was back to Marion Center Speedway, where Gregg hoped his success would continue. He could only muster a fifth place finish though.

Friday's win at Lernerville pushed his win count to 12 for 2009, five of which have come at Lernerville. Satterlee has been consistent, with an impressive 23 Top 5's and 26 Top 10's in the 42 events he has competed in. In the coming weeks, Gregg looks forward to competing again with the Outlaws at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA, and then at Eldora Speedway for the 'World 100', a $42,000 to win event!!! Other big races in September include a trip to PPMS for the 'Pittsburgher 100' and the 'Fall Classic' at McKean County Raceway with several other 'regular shows' here and there.

Gregg would like to thank his fans for their support as well as his 2009 sponsors, which include: Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsport, Daugherty Motorsports, ZeroWraps, Laz-Fab, Lias Tire/American Racer, Joe Gibbs Racing Oil, Port City Racecars, Integra Shocks and Springs, Rocket Chassis, VP Race Fuels, and Fleming Design Solutions.

>>>GREGG SATTERLEE CAPTURES ULMS JIM DUFFY MEMORIAL AT MCKEAN COUNTY

Twenty-four year old, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania shocked and surprised Bob Close and the McKean County Raceway fan faithfull with a last lap pass on Close to capture the season opening Northern Tier Inc. United Late Model Series event to kick of the 25th anniversary of McKean County Raceway. Satterlee would go home $2000 richer and knowing he is also a guranteed starter for the MCR Priority Care RaceFAN 50, during the Fall Classic weekend in September, which pays $12,000 to win.

The Northern Tier Inc. first heat qualifier for the ULMS Late Models saw Cooperstown, PA, veteran, Wally Fox on the point with 2001 MACS Champion, Mike Blose alongside him. Blose rocketed into the lead at the start with Gatineau, Quebec driver, Peter Mantha slipping into second. Blsoe would open at five car lenght lead on Mantha as Gregg Satterlee quickly found himself in third on lap two from his seventh place starting spot. Mantha started to real in Blose in his Hino Toyota, Chub Frank Racing #CFR1 machine and on lap six would make a power move on Blose to take over the top spot in front of the excited crowd. A very excited Mantha would come home victorious over Blose, with Satterlee edging Greg Oakes for third. Chris Farrell, Doug Ricotta and Fox rounded out the field.

The Close Racing Supply - GRT Race Cars and American Race Tire heat number two rolled on to the 3/8 mile surface to see the Bear Lake Banzaii, Boom Briggs on the point with 2008 ULMS point runner up, Brent Rhebergen starting next to him. Briggs and Rhebergan roared down the front stretch after taking John Powell green flag. Al Brewer quickly moved into third behind the duo. Former MCR champion, Jeff Hoffman moved Brewer back to fourth while Briggs led Rhebergen by a few car lengths. Milton, Pennsylvania driver, Bobby Stokes rolled into fourth as Brewer bobbled in turn three. At the finish it was Briggs picking up where he left off last year at MCR, winning the second qualifier over Rhebergen, Stokes, Hoffman Brewer, Nick Loffredo and Paul Grigsby.

The Hoosier Tire - Mid Atlantic heat number three saw veteran, Dave Norton Sr. back in the seat with Waterford lead foot, Dave Hess Jr starting off pole. It was Hess immediately shooting to the lead over Norton as Jason Dupont and Ron Davies duked it out for second. Dupont and Davies went door to door for the runner up spot till Dupont spun his #No7 on lap five. Hess would lead Davies on the restart as "The Razor" Bob Close shot forward to grab third from Mike Knight who was suffering from a flat left front tire. Close would get the "Rimrider" on the final lap to grab second but it was too little to late to catch Hess. Davies finished third behind Close, Knight was fourth, Dupont was fifth and Dave Norton was sixth.

The thirty lap, Jim Duffy Memorial for the Northern Tier Inc. ULMS Late Models was the highlight of the evening. Satterlee and Jeff Hoffman would be your front row starters for the Fall Classic Qualifier. The opening lap saw the first yellow as third place starter, Peter Mantha spun, with fifth place starting, Mike Knight also spinning to avoid the Canadian #CFR1. Hoffman shot to the lead to lead the opening lap over Satterlee but the #22G machine of Satterlee came storming back to grab the top spot on lap 2. Bob Close would move into second on lap three as he set his eyes on Satterlee. A pair of yellows on lap three and four kept the field close to Satterlee. On the restart, Close would make a power move to the outside of Satterlee to take over the top spot and immediately open up a little distance between him and Satterlee. By this time, Dave Hess Jr and Ron Davies found themselves in the top five. With ten in the books it was still Close over Satterlee. Hess was holding onto third over ninth place starting Boom Briggs and Davies. Mike Blose entered the picture on lap twelve as he got around Davies for fifth. The yellow would come out on lap twelve for veteran, Al Brewer who came to a stop in turn four. Close took off again only to see the cars of Chris Farrell and Bobby Stokes sitting in turn four, with Stokes night ending with a broken axle. Again Close took off with Satterlee in tow. Both cars running the extreme low line. Brent Rhebergan rolled into sixth at the halfway point as it was still Close, Satterlee, Hess, Briggs and Blose rounding out the top five.

With ten laps remaining the top five still remained the same and on lap 22, the sixth place running Rhebergen left the facility with a undisclosed mechanical problem, handing sixth back to Ron Davies. Boom Briggs started to make some noise as he was now in third, when caution came out on lap 23 for Chris Farrell. On the restart Close again had to fend the stiff challenge of Satterlee as Blose hounded Hess for fourth and woud grab the spot only to see the yellow come out again with five to go for the #22 machine of Greg Oakes. On the restart Close and Satterlee roared into turn one and two, both hugging the inside lane and it looked like Close was on his way to win as both drivers were committed to the inside groove. But as the duo roared into turns three and four to get the white flag, Satterlee went to the outside of Close and won the drag race down the front stretch to lead lap twenty nine. Satterlee kept the #22 Rocket Chassis pointed straight for the final 3/8 mile to capture the Jim Duffy Memorial and the guranteed starting spot for the season ending Priority Care RaceFAN 50 during the Fall Classic. Close came home a dissappointing second after leading twenty four straight laps. Boom Briggs came home a solid third with Mike Blose finally getting a little luck at MCR was fourth. Dave Hess Jr came home fifth followed by Ron Davies, Jason Dupont, Doug Ricotta, Mike Knight and Jeff Hoffman rounding out the top ten.

Gregg Satterlee became the 20th different Northern Tier Inc. ULMS feature winner. The win also was Satterlee's first ever at McKean County Raceway, where he celebrated in victory lane with the Duffy family who have been a vital part of the construction of MCR. Ironically, it was twenty years to the day, that JIm Duffy passed away competing in a super late model event at MCR. Satterlee was only four at the time! >>>Gregg Satterlee announces launch of new website and release of 2009 schedule

April 7, 2009 - Super late model standout Gregg Satterlee is excited to announce the launch of his brand new website, www.greggsatterlee.com .  The site was produced by Fleming Design Solutions.

The site features both a bio and sponsors page, among other things. Fans can keep up to date on Gregg's schedule which includes over 70 races for 2009.  The aggressive schedule has Gregg competing in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, New York, North Carolina, and even Canada!

Gregg stated “We’ve been kicking around the idea of doing a website for some time now, and Fleming Design Solutions was able to provide us with a high-quality, professional looking site at a reasonable price.  I would recommend his service to anyone who is considering a website.”  When asked about his 2009 season so far, he proclaimed, “So far, 2009 has started off with some high’s and low’s. We picked up a big win at Lernerville a week or so ago, and it appeared we would follow that up with another win this past weekend at the Three State Flyer race.  Unfortunately we broke while charging to the front, and ended up finishing in 11th.  The team and I have regrouped and will be back in action again this weekend at Lernerville on Friday and PPMS on Saturday.”

Gregg would like to thank his 2009 sponsors and supporters: Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, BSS Creative, East American Motorsport, Laz Fab, Daugherty Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing Oil, VP Racing Fuel, Integra Shocks & Springs, Port City Race Cars, Lias Tire, Rocket Chassis, and Fleming Design Solutions.
